Down jackets are a great way to stay warm on a casual day, and Uniqlo makes the best one, hands down (no pun intended!). Uniqlo, the Japanese brand that offers universal basics at great prices, developed a way to enclose the down directly into the jackets without the usual tubing. The result is a jacket that weighs the less than a 1/2 pound. Finally! A down jacket that isn’t bulky! It folds up very small and even comes in its own bag – great for traveling.
It’s available in 13 chic colors, and because of the great price, you can buy more than one (they don’t take up as much room in the closet as a regular down jacket either!). It also comes as a vest or a parka. Below are my favorite six colors.

No thumbholes. The sizing is a bit small. If you’re questioning the size, go for the next size up. There are two stores in NYC if you want to go check them out in person!
