Make your legs look longer

Doesn’t every woman want her legs to look longer? Here are four tips that I find especially helpful during fall/winter when it’s cold and I have to cover up to stay warm!

Tip 1: Create a long line

The shoes in the left column below are all very cute, but they also visually cut off your leg. If you wear the black skirt with the blue bootie below, it will look like your leg ends at the top of the bootie. Instead, choose a bootie like the one on the top right to extend the leg.

The Mary Jane heels and flats below create a horizontal line across your ankle that cuts off your leg as well. To make your legs look longer, wear shoes without straps, such as the pumps and ballet flats below. If you can’t live without your Mary Jane’s, make sure that you wear black stockings with black shoes so the horizontal line won’t be as obvious.

Tip 2: Go monochromatic

If you keep the color on your bottom half monochromatic, it will extend the line of your leg. The boots in the left column would all look great with the black skirt below, but they would break up the line of the leg. Wearing boots (or shoes) that are the same color as your skirt will lengthen the look of your legs. It’s the same idea for pants. If you’re wearing black skinny jeans tucked into boots, a different color boot may look chic, but it will visually cut off the line of your legs. Black boots will make your legs look longer.

Tip 3: Longer pants equals longer legs

The skinny jeans on the left end at the ankle so you can see where the model’s legs end. Because the jeans on the right are long, it’s difficult to tell where the model’s legs end. Wearing pants that reach at least halfway or more to the bottom of the heel will create legs that go on forever. Compare the two pictures and you’ll see the difference!

Tip 4: Back pockets shouldn’t be too long

The bottom point of the back pockets on the left are a few inches below the crotch, which make it seem as if the model’s legs start further down than they actually do. The back pockets on the right end just below the crotch. Compare the two models and you’ll see that the model on the right seems to have longer legs.
