I used to go to Kiehl’s when it was a tiny skincare store in the East Village of New York City run by the owner’s granddaughter. They would give you samples to try before you bought anything, so you were assured that the product worked for you. As word got out about Kiehl’s, they became more successful and were eventually bought by L’Oreal in 2000. Now Kiehl’s is sold in most department and cosmetics stores, but I haven’t bought anything of theirs in years assuming that the products had become mass market instead of small batch.
I got Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment in a gift bag at Fashion Week and now that the weather has gotten colder and dryer, I have been using it. I was pleasantly surprised by the rich texture, and it made my concealer go on more easily than it normally does. It’s creaminess makes it a great winter eye cream. Now I might have to go back and explore some of the other Kiehl’s products!
